KU Student June Jerop Died From Excessive Bleeding After Being Stabbed, Autopsy Shows

The 36-year-old died last month days after going missing with her family stumbling on her deformed body in Nairobi’s city mortuary.

The autopsy report indicates June died due to severe bleeding occasioned by a raptured heart following stabs in her chest. Meanwhile, detectives are holding a man believed to be the deceased’s boyfriend.

Jesse Wafula Wakukha was arrested at Landi Mawe in Industrial Area on March 24 after detectives traced June’s last movements and conversations before she went missing. An analysis of Wafula’s phone led to the arrests of two more suspects, Allan Wafula and Timothy Masika, who are aiding in investigations.

June’s last moments with Wafula Detectives investigating June’s killing established that she was picked up from her apartment in South B by Wafula, who was driving a Mercedes Benz, on March 19. They then left for an unknown destination. A CCTV later captured the deceased at a pharmacy in Imara Daima purchasing what appeared to be medicine.

Detectives further found out that later on the same day, Wafula travelled to his rural home in Bungoma using the aforementioned vehicle. He left the luxurious vehicle there and used public means to travel back to Nairobi on March 24.
